PI Fine Art created a custom collection of dimensional art pieces for Boston Marriott, Peabody, echoing the tide pools and sea foam of the New England coast. Tidal Drift and Low Tide shift in shape and count from room to room, typing suites and guestrooms together with an alcohol-ink motif.

Boston Marriott Hotel, Peabody

The Property

Boston Marriott Peabody Hotel sits just outside the city, and its interiors lean into a calm, coastal New England palette; soft wood tones, neutrals and layered blue-and-cream textiles that echo the Massachusetts shoreline.

The Artwork

For this project, we created a range of 2D and 3D artworks across the property. Take a look at a few of our favourites below - a custom collection of dimensional wall panels for the hotel's guestrooms and suites. The panels share an alcohol-ink finish, its clustered, bubble-like forms echoing tide pools and sea foam, but shift in shape and count from room to room.

King Suite

The Room A king suite with a separate living and dining area, connected by a wet bar with a round mirror, wood cabinetry and stone countertops.

The Art - Living Area A framed piece with a circular, woven line-work pattern in white on black hangs above the sofa, adding a graphic, textural note to the suite's living and dining space.

The Art - Bedroom Tidal Drift is a set of three custom circular pieces mounted above the headboard, each printed on MDF with painted edges and a backer for a clean, dimensional mount. The pieces carry a soft, alcohol-ink blue-and-white pattern, its clustered forms echoing tide pools and sea foam along the New England coast.

King Bed, Guest Room

The Room A king guest room with a wood-and-upholstered headboard, wood-tone wall panelling and a blue-and-cream patterned carpet.

The Art The king room repeats the same Tidal Drift grouping found in the suite - three custom circular pieces mounted above the headboard, each printed on MDF with painted edges and a backer.

Larger Double Guestroom

The Room A larger double-double layout, two beds set on a shared wood-panelled headboard wall, with the same blue patterned carpet and walnut casegoods.

The Art Low Tide is the double room's headboard grouping - six semi-circle pieces split across the two beds, built with the same materiality as the king room's artwork. The shape shifts from full circles to half-circles, but the alcohol-ink blue-and-white pattern carries over, keeping the three room types visually connected.
