Edward was born in Pittsburgh , PA in 1962. He was raised with my five sisters in the small town of Crafton. His first year of college was at The University of Notre Dame studying Architectural Engineering. After a year off working as a deckhand on the coal barges, he returned to school to study Industrial Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology. While at RIT, he tried oil painting for the first time in November of '83. He painted a portrait of one of my beloved heroes; his recently deceased Grandfather. The moment he picked up that brush, it felt he had been painting for his entire life. That's how he started his career as a fine artist.
His goal is to create a new language specific to the values he wish to communicate. It is important to note here that art is a vehicle of communication, not merely an outlet for self-expression.
